ラロッシェルへ週末旅行①

パリ滞在中、週末を利用し訪れたラロッシェルを紹介します。モンパルナス駅からTGVで約3時間、太平洋に面した古い港町です。

街には素晴らしい歴史的な建造物がいたるところにあり歩いているだけでも楽しめます。
旧港には門のような2つの塔（La Tour Saint-Nicolas）があり大時計門（the Tower of the Big Clock）と共にラロシェルの見所となっています。
訪れた時期が5月の終わりでしたので夜10時位まで日が沈みません！
友人のお店(WELTA)のある通り(Rue St. Nicolas)では至るところに簡単なゲームが置いてあり人々はお酒を飲みながら長い夜を楽しんでいました。

The weekend trip to La Rochelle / part1

Declic Fleur introduces the city “La Rochelle” we visited on one weekend while in Paris. It takes approx. 3hours from Montparnasse, Paris via TGV. La Rochelle is an old seaport on the Atlantic Ocean.

It is just as well that you would get great pleasure walking around in town with frequent encounters of many medieval constructions. At its Old Port there are the gate-like two towers (La Tour Saint-Nicolas) as well as the Tower of the Big Clock, both of which are parts of La Rochelle’s tourist attractions.
Actually, as it was the end of May when we were there the Sun did not set until about ten in the evening!
So people were drinking and enjoying their evenings on Rue St. Nicolas where our friends have their own shop, WELTA, there were also many simple games on the street.
